Hotplates: Conversion of the screws at the connection

The company E.G.O. to change the screws at the connection of the commercial hotplates. Today we are using slotted cylinder head screws. In future we will use cylinder head screws with torx (see enclosure).

The advantage of the torx screws during mounting is that the screwdriver can be used easier. This means we will get an improvement in the production and a reduction of faulty parts. Due to the forme-closed design of the torx and the less force needed thereby, we expect an improvement during further processing and during exchange by the customer service.

The used materials, surface treatments and dimensions remain existing.

On May 4th 2004 rolled the 50-millionth HiLight-heating element from the production line at EGO Elektro-Gerätebau GmbH in Obererdingen. The production of the HiLight radiant heating elements began in 1993, a completely new technology in comparison with conventional radiant heating.

If all the radiant heatelements produced were added together, it would in Autumn 2004 already amount to 150,000,000 EGO radiant heating elements on the market and with this more than half the world market share.
